Brides of Houston Fall/Winter 2021 Cover

Our work is on the cover of the Brides of Houston Magazine for their Fall/Winter 2021 edition and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The styled shoot was a mix of pastels, pops of bright colors including coral, golden yellow and peach. The real eye-catcher is the preserved Peegee Hydrangea, but we included many unique stems to provide a lot of depth and diversity. Some of the flower we included were Lavender Double Tulips, the Caramel Antike Garden Rose (it's the perfect pale yellow rose!), Light Pink and Yellow Butterfly Ranunculus (for that floaty-effect), Coral Charm Peonies, Preserved Hydrangeas, Lavender Sweet Pea, Blue Dyed Tulips, Salmon Ranunculus, Blue T weedia, Purple Clematis, and Lavender Dahlias. Having a large variety of florals created interest and kept your eye wandering throughout the entire arrangement.

The focal point of the day- the arch installation- was large and floral-focused. Inspired by a Midsummer Night’s Dream, adding pastel colors contrasted with deep pops of color allowed for a sense of mystery and excitement. Additionally, we wanted to play with limiting the greenery we included in each element of the day. By including a plethora of floral stems rather than greenery, we created a sophisticated and elevated environment which captured your attention and imagination. This rang true throughout the flower-filled arch installation.

The other show stopper was a free standing installation. The secret to the beautiful colors of the beautiful creation? Dyed flowers! This recent tactic has been trending and we are excited to jump on the bandwagon. The Peegee Hydrangea were dyed a soft baby pink to elevate the unique colors that already existed in the petals. Additionally, the Tulips were dyed a silvery-blue, creating a natural look that just can’t be found in the garden. If you are looking to have a personalized and unique style on your wedding day, adding dyed flowers may be the answer! Within the free standing installation, this was the case. At staggered heights, with a base of a natural meadow, you’ll always notice something new and exciting.
